I’ve been trying to prep some gift guides for the holidays and thought I was going to merge them all together in one post. I quickly realized that’s way too overwhelming. I’d rather you all get right to the meat of what you want to see, so over the course of the month I’m going to post gift guides based on the type of person you’re shopping for.
Keep reading for some of my tops picks for your favorite Homebody Host.
Now that I’ve been out of college for a few years and my friends are moving into apartments or moving away everyone needs some furniture and cute decor to make their space their own. Though, we all know your mom, your aunt, your grandma, and tons of other people love to host events and make their home the most comfortable and stylish it could be. I’ve found some goodies to give them this holiday season that I’m really excited about (aka I would love any of these gifts as well)!
1. Bodum CHAMBORD French Press in Copper | $35
I’m a huge advocate for French Press coffee. It’s just so easy. I mean, cleaning it at the end kind of sucks, but it’s eco-friendly and not as difficult as it looks. Don’t be like me though, I broke my sink a couple months ago because I was lazy and washed the grounds down the drain, don’t do that.
2. Bodum Coffee Grinder in White | $25 [EXTRA 30% OFF CODE: FRIEND BEFORE 12/11]
If you’re going the french press route, you’re going to need a coffee grinder. Most coffee bags in store are ground for an automatic machine or are whole bean, few and far between are specifically course, which is what is needed for french press. Even if you’re not getting the french press, who doesn’t love fresh ground coffee every morning? Plus, it’s cute. Perfect for your host’s counter top.
3. zzoharshaham Pottery From Etsy | $40 set
I used to work at a cafe where the owner was a potter. She taught me how to make mugs and bowls and I haven’t shook the desire to spin when I’m feeling upset and need to silence my mind. Having had that experience I like to find art for my kitchen. I like whacky, one-of-a-kind kitchenware. Basically, I don’t want to just buy a set of dishes. I want to find them along the way, and support people who put their heart into their ceramics. I found some beautiful mugs at Etsy that anyone would be happy to have in their kitchen cabinets.
4. Luna Marble Serving Tray | $41
I think almost everyone likes a little marble in their kitchen, and this is the perfect tray to put the french press, grinder and a bag of coffee on.
5. West Elm Solid Basketweave Throw Blanket | $59
Again, this could be a gift for everyone. I don’t think a home could have enough throws. Neutral colors are the way to go and this soft, dusty pink in perfect for your favorite host. Also, West Elm? You’ll be their favorite gifter.
6. Beaujolais-Villages Maison Louis Jadot Wine | $9
If you’re anything like me, you can appreciate something vintage. I don’t know wine as well as I would like, but I know gifting wine is always acceptable. I found this delicious wine at Costco while Thanksgiving shopping and it’s a must-try. The bottle has a beautiful French, vintage label. It’s now part of my kitchen decor.
7. Closed Noir by quibe Framed Print | $40
I’m actually dying for this print myself. It’s beautiful. It’s simple, and would fit with anything that is already on the walls.
I’m honestly not a fan of canvas prints, unless is has actual paint on it, otherwise I don’t think they’re aesthetically pleasing. I’d rather a framed piece of art or something mixed media. I think a thoughtful, framed piece of art would be a great addition to someone’s home. But, make sure it’s framed, because framing is expensive and it just gets put off. Also, know their style or else you probably won’t see it on their wall.
8. Fleur Fantôme Mini Candle | $35
There aren’t many women that don’t love candles. I stock up on candles whenever I can. They are relaxing and make the house smell great, what else do you need? This scent is said to smell like a Winter in Sweden, flowers and light citrus. The scent sounds relaxing and clean, and the packaging is right up there with the same feel. The perfect coffee table candle.
9. IKEA Succulents | $3
I have a bonsai tree from IKEA that is thriving, and the plants section is so cheap. Check out your local IKEA for some plant lovin’.
10. Celestial Coaster Set | $40
God damn. Am I right? These are beautiful. I couldn’t stop staring at the blue ones, but the pink and green look that watermelons and it makes me want to eat them. They’re all so gorgeous. Anthropologie does it again.
Hope this guide helps with some of your holiday shopping this year, if it did leave a comment below! What are some of the gifts you’re most excited about giving?
