I wanted to talk to you guys about a brand I’ve been loving lately, and some of their newest products. I was sent a few of dr. brandt‘s newest and best-selling products to test out, and I honestly would rebuy most of them. Here’s what I thought:
I used to drink water all the time, I mean I’d have water drinking competitions at the cafe I used to work at. I’d drink so much water running around the shop, and now I honestly just forget, and by the time I’m getting ready for bed I’m dying of thirst!

One of dr. brandt’s newest products released is their Water Booster, which claims to promote daily water consumption, help with premature aging, and brighten the skin with it’s antioxidants, green tea, and white tea. And holy crap, guys, this works. When I first saw the bottle I was pretty pumped, I loved that it was something different from topical skincare. I immediately opened it up and grabbed a glass of water, and let me tell you it wasn’t pretty. I was not looking forward to it at all after I saw it in the glass. It looked like I needed to talk to my building manager about some rusty pipes.
You’re told to shake it well and put one full dropper amount in an 8oz glass. If you don’t like sweetened tea I’d suggest filling a larger glass of water. I opt for a 16 oz. glass with one dropper full and it’s the perfect subtle flavor.
You can taste the green tea and goji berries, which kind of taste like tea to me anyways. It’s the perfect thing in the morning before my coffee, and I’ve really enjoyed having it every morning. It’s sweet enough to be tasty, but not too sweet to be overwhelming in the morning. If you’re the kind of person that just can’t get yourself to drink water, this stuff is a great option. I feel hydrated and it makes me feel like I’m doing something good for myself.

They also sent over their Hydro Biotic Recovery Sleeping Mask, and this feels awesome. The packaging is nice, and I know it’s not going to spill anywhere and I’m not going to break it. However, you only get 1.7 oz. and it’s over $50, so in the long run I don’t think I’d chose this over some of the other gel moisturizers that I really love because I don’t know if I would say this is a game changer at all.
It says it’s good for all skin types and I’d definitely agree that even people with oily skin will love this. The website claims it’s fragrance free, but it has a floral/herbal scent that’s not incredibly strong, but it’s there and you’ll notice it. Although I really like the feeling of this and will continue to use it until it’s gone, I’m not sure it’s a miracle worker. It’s definitely hydrating, the formula is lightweight like a gel moisturizer, but in a whipped, lighter form. It feels very nice to put on your face at the end of the night, and it’s not heavy or sticky. You could honestly use it as just a moisturizer if you wanted because it doesn’t seem to be too thick or leave a residue, plus it says to use it daily. Aka… moisturizer.
The mask is supposed to soothe redness and irritation, I do sometimes get stingy and itchy from using my toner, and this calms that down a bit quicker than usual. My boyfriend also has very dry skin on his bald head lately from the weather and shaving everyday and he’s been using this and says it really helps and it hasn’t been making his head oily at all, so again it would be awesome for all skin types.
It has an anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and conditioning blend of ingredients like yogurt powder, honey, tamarindus indica seed, and rooibos which helps treat eczema, rapeseed oil rich in omega-3 and omega-6, camellia sinensis (green tea) extract which helps protect against free radicals, vitis vinifera (grape seed) extract (used in a lot of french skin care, which you guys know I love). That’s just some of the ingredients. So the hydration and protection is there, but you definitely have to use it every night if you want to lock in the moisture and see a change in your skin, this isn’t a one and done product.

Another new product I got was the magnetight age defier mask and to be completely honest I was not a fan at all. I was excited when I got it, and it was fun the first time using the magnet to pull it off your face, but I didn’t see a difference whatsoever. You also need to use a very thin layer because it doesn’t dry down at all and you don’t rinse your face at the end because there are anti-aging oils leftover . The layer of oil on my face was probably the worse part for me. It took everything in me to not wash my face at the end of it the first time. If it were like a sheet mask and it sunk into my skin after a while I wouldn’t been fine, but I just felt dirty. Definitely not a fan and think there are better options out there without all the hassle.

They also added in a few samples of their best-selling products which I was very, very excited about. They threw in their needles no more 3-D volumizing mask and treatment, luminizer primer and microdermabrasion exfoliant. All of these have been working great for me.
Their pores no more luminizer primer looks so beautiful on the skin, it’s a champagne-y color cream with a bit of shimmer. I’ve been trying not to use this everyday because I don’t want to go through it too fast, but I’m honestly in love with this stuff. It’s soft and hydrating and gives you that instant glow from within. I’m actually wearing it today with no other makeup because it just makes your skin look so pretty. I don’t know if I would suggest this to someone who has very oily skin because it’s a cream, but I have combination skin and it didn’t leave my skin feeling greasy at all.

The microdermabrasion exfoliator I had a few years ago and really didn’t like it, this time around I get it. I’m not the biggest fan of physical exfoliators, I’d rather do a glycolic or lactic acid peel like Sunday Riley’s Good Genes treatment, but as someone who feels that way it was really quick and easy if you go slow and gentle. It basically feels like you’re sanding your face so it honestly feels like you’ve done a good job getting all the dead skin off real quick. You only have to use it once a week so it’s a great option for someone looking for an exfoliant. It smells a bit like a kitchen cleaning product, strong and lemony, but it’s not the worst.
The needles no more 3-d filler mask is nice because you don’t have to wash it off, and I’m lazy about that sometimes so those are some of my favorite masks to throw on. I haven’t seen a drastic difference in my skin, my skin is a bit plumper after using all of these products so I don’t think it was directly linked to this mask. I don’t see a difference in my forehead lines at all yet, so that was kind of a bummer. I only got 3 samples, so I couldn’t get a good grasp on the product. I feel the same about the needles no more wrinkle smoothing cream. I think this product has so much potential, but I didn’t have enough product to get a good grasp. I liked using it on the fine lines near my eyes (not too close) and my forehead wrinkles, but honestly did not see a difference whatsoever.

I want to say thank you to Dr. Brandt for sending so many products my way, I had a great time trying everything out. I would buy almost all of these products again, especially the luminizer primer that I’m very much obsessed with, the water booster that I use every single day before my coffee, and surprisingly, the microdermabrasion because it’s so quick. I don’t see myself looking for physical exfoliators and this is just so quick and lasts forever because you really don’t have to use a lot at all.
I hope I’ve introduced some new products to you guys, and hopefully this helps you learn a little more about some of the products you’ve been looking into recently.
