If you follow a list of influencers you may have seen this product. It comes in a white packet, looks pretty much exactly like something you’d get from your doctor, and basically looks like a worm/oyster in your cup. It’s not pretty, but apparently the results are more than pretty. Let’s see if this stuff actually works.
I’m a part of a group called JoinPalm where companies give free or discounted products to social media influencers in exchange for reviews on Instagram.
The product is from a company called LivOn Labs and I’ll be trying their Lypo-Spheric Magnesium L-Threonate, and yes I had no friggen idea what it was either until I started reading about it. You’ve probably seen it on Instagram, it’s kind of popular, which is where for a packet of gooey vitamins that don’t even have nice packaging, but that’s what intrigued me. I thought, damn if people are still talking about it and it’s literally looks like a packet of medicine it must be good? I’ll go into the details of what the hell magnesium L-Threonate is in my next post – stay tuned for this journey because I mean, look at that stuff below…

I wanted to document my month trial of this product, they sent me two full boxes valued at $59.95 each. There are 30 packets in each box, you take two packets a day – one in the morning, one 2 hours before bed. I even have two alarms in my phone to make sure I don’t forget. I just started, I’ve taken 2 packets so far, but I’m really interested to see if this stuff works.
Here’s the deal – the product claims (screenshot of the email I received from JoinPalm):

For one – I’m not going to go on a low/no grain diet or stop drinking alcohol. I don’t want to change my lifestyle at all because I want to see if this works if I’m living a normal ass life. Of course I’ll feel better if I stop drinking and eat healthy, but lets see if a supplement will help with the lifestyle of a 20-something living in the city, right?
When I tell you I have all of the symptoms listed I mean all of them. I have depression, severe anxiety and nervousness to the point of having multiple panic attacks a month and sometimes weekly. I’ve gone to doctors because of my cluster headaches and migraines, and have even cleared it with my boss that if I get a migraine randomly I can just leave work to deal with it. I’ve been on birth control since I was 15 because I used to get TWO, count it, TWO periods per month. I’m known for saying “I don’t feel good” because I basically have accepted that I just never feel good after I eat anything – bloating, cramps, and nausea galore most of the time. I’m always tired and I blame it on being a lazy Leo, and never really feeling good + the depression and anxiety… I mean I think you get it.
However, the thing I’m testing the most is my memory. I have the worst memory, and it’s honestly annoying. My job requires juggling multiple things, which I love because I get bored easily, but it’s hard when you’re always forgetting what you need to do next or trying to find the random notes you leave yourself because you know you won’t remember. I want to see if I have more mental clarity over the next month. I left the box near the coffee so I remember to take it every day, that’s how bad my memory is. I’ll let you know if I eventually, over the course of a month, feel like things my brain is piecing itself back together.

So now you know my starting line – tired, unmotivated, forgetful, and basically a box of static when it comes to my anxiety. Let’s see if this stuff actually works, I’ll keep you updated over the next 4 weeks. Let’s do this. Stay tuned, I want to talk about magnesium deficiency in my next post and why it’s so popular on Instagram.
