I’ve been on some kind of nesting trip lately. No, I’m not pregnant, I’m just really in the mood to make my apartment, and life feel more like home.
It’s a phenomenon that barely anyone can enter a Target without spending more than they wanted. I’m heavily included in that phenomenon. This time around I wanted to share my weekend shopping adventure.
I also, a few months ago, had just discovered World Market. I honestly thought that it didn’t exist on the East Coast because there’s no way I wouldn’t know about it, but no there was one within 10-15 miles of my apartment back in Massachusetts.
The last thing I want to share with you guys is something luxe. Truly. I finally grew the hell up and bought something to put my license and cards in. I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned this, but I usually throw cards in whatever bag I’m using that day, or I forget about them all together. I’m constantly losing my debit card. It’s an embarrassing amount to be honest – same with my license. I figured it was time to get my shit together and buy a wallet, or in this case a card holder.

32″ Round Black Mirror | $68 sale
Starting off with this because I feel like I’ve been wanting a circle mirror for as long as I can remember. I don’t know why I always come back to it. I’ve looked at hexagon, window pane type mirrors, floor mirrors… but there’s just something about the simplicity and minimalism of a nice black trim circle mirror especially when we have floor to ceiling rectangle windows. Perfect for our new desk space (I’ll show you the whole desk situation in a post once it’s done, it’s still a work in progress)!

Beaded Plant Hanger | $13, but I def got it for less than $10 in store
I was looking at similar ones on Amazon, but was glad that I could grab one down the street and not have to wait for it. It’s average, cute, and does the job. I’m not a huge fan of the strings that hang at the bottom, but it’s good for now. I also braided and knotted the end because it felt too long and stringy in the space I have.
AHC Eye Cream for the Face | $28
Ooooo girl. Aimee Song truly influenced this buy. I mean, her skin is so deliciously smooth, and the girl is honest as hell. I’ll always trust her recommendations. She has pretty sensitive, dry skin, so I feel like she always has great recommendations that any skin type can check out.
This specific product just hit in United States. For a while I think you could only get it in Korea, then I think you could get it online, but now – it’s available here now at TARGET of all places!! I gasped out loud when I saw this I was so excited. I didn’t even look at the price until later and I was so surprised! Dying to try the Aqualuronic line as well.
This has a traditional soap smell to me, like the bar soap that your grandma would have in her bathroom when you were a kid. That sounds like a bad thing, but it’s just a traditionally clean smell. This stuff blends awesome with spf too, which is how I tend to use it the most.

DHS Deep Cleansing Oil | $14
I believe this is a smaller version than what I’m been seeing all over skinstagram lately, but I’m glad because I wanted to give it a try. It’s in so many vanity shots, product flatlays so I thought it had to be good. Instagram made me do it, and honestly I’m not a fan.
Maybe I need to try it more because the reviews are so good and people seem to love it, but I can’t get the hang of it. It just doesn’t seem to work for me. When I think of oil cleanser I think of either having a ton of makeup on (including eye makeup) and I need to get it off as fast as possible, or I’m lazy as hell and think a double cleanse will make up for the fact that I’m only doing a 2 step routine that night. Either way oil cleansers shouldn’t take a long time to deal with, and should be easily rinsed off. This is a nightmare for me get off all the way, and it gets ALL in my eyes. I’m talkin’ blind for a couple mins because you’re vision is floating around in the oil.
You’re also supposed to use it dry, and I never feel like I use enough even when it’s already clogging up my eyes (no I don’t put it straight on my eyes, but it rinses down my face into my eyes). I can’t win. It also has absolutely no smell, which in a way smells like cooking oil to me… Maybe it’s just me, but first impressions are not good. I barely ever reach for this.
Planter with Brass Stand | $35
I love this little thing! It was $35, probably a little too much for how cheap it feels (most of the ones on the store floor were cracked, so…) but it’s definitely a cute addition to the living room. You can kind of see the texture in the first picture. We put a little monstera philodendron in there and I love it by the balcony door in a path that we walk often.
I’m thinking about spray panting the legs black, what do you guys think?
Gucci Animalier Card Holder | $295
You thought I splurged on my last post, but hon-nay we Gucci. I was so damn excited to make this purchase – I felt like such a grown up. Like damn, I really just did that.
I bought this for a bunch of reasons, but one of the bigs ones was that I always lose my debit card. I’m saying at least 2 times a week. I mean I realistically ask Matt a variation of, “do you know where my debit card is?” about 4x a week. I always just put it in my back pocket of my jeans, in my work bag, in my eye glasses case, or in Matt’s wallet. I never know where that damn thing is… don’t even get me started about my license. I literally don’t know how I haven’t lost it yet. So I figured I needed to grow up and get myself a gift – the gift of organization, and the gift of luxury. And the gift of a panic attack if I ever lose it. My type of conditioning.
I ended up picking the one with the little bee because it felt a little different than everyone else. I’ve seen a lot of YSL ones, or the Gucci chevron ones. I’ve never seen someone with this, maybe because it’s actually a men’s card holder. I love it, and the bee makes me feel like I need to keep on working as cheesy as it sounds. Basically it’s a great reminder of what hard work gets you, and to keep fucking going.
Hope you guys enjoyed the haul, and let me know if you want more of my random purchases.
