I’ve been on a haircare binge lately… and recently highlighted my hair, so here are some of my favorite (and most aesthetic) products that I’ve been using recently.
Pretty excited to get into this because a good hair day is a just simply a good day. I’m excited to help you guys have your best hair day. As far as I know, all of these are color-safe products. I haven’t had any weird color problems, or yellowing of the blonde streaks in my hair. In no particular order, let’s get into it (I’m sure you’ll notice a few if you’ve been following me for a little while):
1. Gisou Honey Infused Hair Mask – $60
If you’re taking your time in the shower, want deep moisture, and to feel like you’re doing self-care right then this is for you. This is luxe. I really, really enjoy this mask. The consistency reminds me of cream cheese frosting, which is thicker than other masks I’ve used, but it doesn’t slide off your hair. This makes a perfect bath tub hair mask that stays out of your face, and wrap this up on top of your head you can. Definitely going to be doing this tonight now that I think about it.

2. Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil – $84
I don’t use a lot of oil to be honest – my hair is super fine so I don’t want to weigh it down more than it does on it own.
Lately, I’ve noticed my ends are drier than normal, and oh man do I love this hair oil for the ends of my hair. I’ve over-applied before and left the house looking like my hair was a tiny bit wet, but I don’t remember ever noticing later on. This dries down, and soaks into your hair so nicely, looks so beautiful once you figure out how it works best for you. On top of that, it smells warm, luxurious, and damn sophisticated.
3. Gisou Honey Infused Hair Perfume – $80
This smells the same as all Gisou products, and I love using this on a good day 2, like when my hair doesn’t look dirty, but I want a little extra freshener.
Having a perfume just for my hair makes me feel bougie as hell, so that’s nice. Not to mention, all of Negin’s products have such beautiful packaging. This looks insanely pretty next to my perfumes on the bathroom sink. Clearly, I love me some Gisou. Can you blame me?
Next up is also one of my other favorite haircare brands – OUAI.

4. OUAI Wave Spray – $26
This shit smells UNREAL. I even bought the North Bondi fragrance just because I was slamming through this stuff by spraying it all over my body instead of just my hair.
Only con to this is that it doesn’t really wave your hair, it just kind of creates natural curves in the hair like if you air dried your hair. It also can definitely be a bit sticky. If you have fine hair like me you can really develop a rat’s nest in the back of your head (flashback to Coachella when I sprayed this all over my hair,) so you need to use this sparingly – you’ll love it once you figure out how it works best for you. Think, texturizing spray when you use it. Spray a little, joosh the hair, make sure there are no tangles, and you’re good to go.

5. OUAI Scalp and Body Scrub – $38
I will never not have this product, let’s put it that way. It smells incredible – so clean, feminine, and floral without being too much. I love using this before applying self-tanner, and I love that this froths up so it also feels like you’re really getting in there and cleaning yourself.
Tip: mix this with shampoo on your dirtiest hair day and you’ll feel brand new.
Even bigger tip: let your boyfriend use it. Matt is obsessed with this stuff, he was even the one to ask me to order a new one before our last ran out. He loves using this after he shaves his head for a real clean look.

6. BRIOGEO Farewell Frizz™ Rosarco Milk Leave-In Conditioning Spray – $9 (mini)
This is always in my work bag for days when my hair is just a little out of control. I love spraying this into my hands and scrunching it into the ends of my hair, then my hands smell so good after too. Win-win. This smells like an elevated aussie/tresmée/pantene. You know the drugstore brand mousse you used in high school that all kind of smelled the same – like a burst of clean, floral, fruity deliciousness. Yeah, that’s BRIOGEO, except the adult version.

7. Livingproof Full Dry Volume Blast – $29
Sometimes when my hair is freshly washed it just won’t cooperate. This is going to sound ridiculous, but it’s too soft. That’s not a humble brag, I mean a little bit, but I can barely clip my hair back without my hair falling through it. This stuff is the perfect joosh to your hair, giving it a lot of texture, and leaving it smelling so delicious. Also smells really good, I don’t use any hair product that doesn’t really smell good honestly.
8. Oribe Shampoo for Beautiful Color – $46
First off – how beautiful is Oribe’s packaging?! It just looks rich. Back when I first signed up for Birchbox I got a sample of Oribe’s Volume shampoo and conditioner and I’ve been in love since. It smells so luxe, clean, and beautiful – effortless in a way. This reminds me of a Upper East Side woman, a true Blair Waldorf vibe with all of Oribe’s products.

9. Oribe Conditioner for Beautiful Color – $17
I think this stuff is great, lightly conditioners your hair without weighing it down, and smells insanely delicious and luxurious just like the shampoo. Only thing I’ve noticed is you have to kind of use a lot, so the travel size probably wasn’t the best bang for your buck.

10. Macadamia Deep Repair Masque – $17
This has been an OG pick since… maybe high school. This, again, smells like Garnier shampoo or something similar like that. Classic fruity, clean shampoo, but so, so, hydrating. When you rinse your hair out you can feel how much softer your hair is, and I’m obsessed with always having this in my shower.

11. Kristin Ess The One Conditioner – $10
I’m a fan of the shampoo too, but sometimes I feel like I need to wash my hair more often when I use that shampoo. The conditioner, though, I love is in rotation in my shower because it’s a nice, lightweight conditioner. It has a beautiful powdery, floral smell that I honestly didn’t think I would like, but I’ve fallen in love with. Matt also really loves it since it lasts a long time in your hair.
I also really love the packaging. It has a baby pink soft touch bottle that I love, and the lid makes it really easy to use.

12. Kristin Ess Weightless Shine Air Dry Crème – $10
Let me just say… I’m not sure if this does anything really. If I let my hair air dry it usually looks pretty flat, so if I let it air dry I kinda know my hair may look like shit when it’s dry. I picked this up hoping it would help that, but it hasn’t really.
Though – it leaves your hair soft and smelling incredible. I mostly just use this as a hair perfume-cream type of product. It’s purely for smell, and hope that it may help with the flyaways a little bit.
What are some of your favorite haircare products. I never realize how important my hair was to me until I figured out some of my all time favorite products are haircare products. What else should I be trying out as someone with long, fine, colored hair?
My hair is not colour treated, but girl you’ve got me CONVINCED I need Gisou…I’ve had my eye on Gisou products for months now, but tbh it’s very hard to find good reviews on their brand in general. Until I found yours, that is!
Thank you so much for posting about it. I have really long, thick/wavy hair and I never really use products because I’m really new to the world of skincare and haircare so I’m just not sure what works for me, but I sure as hell know that I’ve been missing out on this part of self-care!
If you didn’t have me at Gisou you had me at Blair Waldorf vibes lol! I really appreciate these posts, their honest and in depth and your girl had no idea where to start! I know I’m
gushing-but it’s just nice to see someone as excited about little luxuries in life like I do. Fantastic post! ♡ xoxo
As thank you so much, I’m so glad they’re helping out. Yes, def try Gisou! The mask is so thick and creamy, and the oil is a god send. Treat yo self! Revolve also had them and you can use afterpay to break it into payments so you’re not shelling out so much money on hair products!
Thanks for the tip! 🙂 x
