I’m always curious to see the products that people love so much they need to keep with them. At least for me, my every day makeup bag has my ride or die products, some in rotation. Here are the things I use every day for work, and like to keep around for touchups.

1. Tarte Shape Tape in 16N Fair-Light Neutral – $27
I love this concealer so much because 1). it’s like paint – thick and covers all those dark circles, and 2). it dries down so quickly. If you have dry under-eyes this may not work for you because it sucks the life out of your under-eyes. It is on the pricer side for concealer, I wouldn’t even bother if you aren’t ride or die for concealer, but if you’re like me and have really dark circles and concealer is a must this is a great one. Layering this on top of Bobbi Brown Color Corrector is a DREAM.

2. Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask – $48
This is one of those that comes in and out of my bag depending on how my skin is doing. If my skin feels more dry I like to apply a very, very thin layer under my eyes about 10-15 mins before I start doing my makeup. I don’t like to keep it in my bag for too long because the packaging gets real fucked up, and I enjoy the aesthetics of good packaging.
3. Briogeo Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray (travel size) – $9
I love this travel size conditioning spray, whenever I feel like my hair is acting up… if it’s too staticy or a little lifeless I like to take 4-5 sprays of this into my palm, heat it up and tossle my hair. It leaves you hair less frizzy, and both your hair and hands smelling juicy. I’ve forgotten this 2-3x before and I’m always so upset when I realize it’s not in my bag at work.

4. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 20 in ‘2C1 Blush’ – $47
If you’re someone that needs medium/full coverage this is not for you. This is a barely there foundation for sure. I like this because when I feel like my skin just isn’t even and could look a little more put together this gives me that, whether or not I’m wearing a full face of makeup.
Laura Mercier just reformulated this, I literally purchased this 2 days before they announced the reformulation, so I’m interested to see what changed. Hopefully, it changed for the better and has a tiny bit more coverage. If so, it’d be a game changer.
5. Milk Makeup Highlighter in Lit (mini) – $15
I have so much love for this highlighter, it’s the perfect daily highlighter. It’s creamy and is such a beautiful champagne color that I think looks good on cool or warm skin tones. I love this so damn much I’m scraping the bottom of the tube. I need to grab myself a new one. I really enjoy the little travel size because it’s easy to leave in my everyday bag as well.
This highlighter isn’t going to be blinding by any means, it’s very wearable, perfect for the office, but if you wanted to layer it’s great. Tap a little of your favorite highlighting powder over it and you’ll fall in love.

6. Iconic London Lip Plumping Gloss in Nearly Nude – $26 and Burt’s Bee Mint Lip Balm – $4
My favorite lip product, probably ever, is the Burt’s Bees peppermint chapstick. My lips are always chapped, and this stuff is magic. When I lose this or forget it in a coat somewhere I usually switch to the Iconic Gloss until Burt’s Bees reappears in my life. This gloss is a little sticky, but honestly there aren’t a lot of glosses that aren’t sticky. I love this because of the minty, plumping feeling.
7. Milk Makeup Kush Lash Primer – $24
You don’t realize you need a product like this until you have a product like this appear in front of your door. Influenster sent this to me to try out when it first launched and I love it.
It’s amazing for lashes especially if you want them a lot fuller, but it’s also great for holding your eyebrow hairs in place. I put a little on my eyebrows, brush through them so you don’t see the white formula, and they hold for a few hours nicely. I don’t use this every day, but when I feel like my eyebrows need an extra something this is what I use.
8. it Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Brow – $24
I’m pretty sure this got sent to me to at some point, and I’m on the fence with this. I like it for convenience because I always end up doing my makeup in the car (brows included… I know, it’s still so hard for me,) and this is a lot easier than using my Anastasia dip brow.
However, this color doesn’t really work for me. I’m not sure it’s that universal. It’s a little too light for my brow hairs, which means if I’m trying to shape them at all, especially on top near the arch you can see the light brown color noticeably. It’s also not fine at all, kinda chunky so it’s hard to get nice hair lines, not to mention how hard you need to push. I probably wouldn’t repurchase, but not my favorite, not my least favorite. A good option to have if you don’t have anything else.
9. Steve Laurant Lip Pencil in Chic – $15
Anyone else feel like their lips are uneven? Some days I don’t notice it, and some days I can’t believe I haven’t noticed it. I like to keep this in my bag on days when I’m either feeling a little extra, or when I’m dramatic as hell and feel really insecure. This helps keep me covered no matter how I’m feeling. It’s a nice brownish-mauve that matches my lips really well. Plus, the packaging reminds me of a KKW Beauty product or something – chic, for sure.

10. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara – $25
I used to hate this mascara… I thought it did a great job at making the lashes look full without clumping too much, but it always ended up getting flaky on me. I’ve noticed if you use a lot less aka 1-3 flicks on each eye then you don’t get as much flakiness. A little goes a long way, and it wakes my eyes up without looking too dramatic.
The only other product in the pictures that is always in my bag is the citrine rock – it’s so LA of me, but I was like this before I moved to LA so I think it’s okay. It’s supposed to bring you positivity and absorbs negativity, it helps with manifestation. I like having it with me, I like to think it keeps my mind on track, or at least when I see it in my bag it quickly reminds me of those things.
I also keep a black beauty blender, and one foundation brush… and tampons lol. I wash my beauty blender every day before using it so don’t worry about the grossness of it. Any eye makeup brushes come and go depending if I have a bronzer in there or not.
If you had to do your makeup in the car every day what would you have with you at all times?
